Gallery: Street art in Barcelona

Last year I was strolling through the streets of Barcelona.

(Ah, Barcelona!)

The contemporary architecture, of course, was fabulous. So was the street art.

I’m no art aficionado, but there’s something spontaneous about street art in Barcelona, even though it’s probably not.

I say that because painting “on the street” without permission in Barcelona comes with a hefty 3,000€ fine. Most of what I experienced came via private store shutters.

So even though this doesn’t fit into the theme of things on my blog, here you go. I snapped all of them in the Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic) last year, October 2019.

Travel tip: Sunday is the best day to check out street art in Barcelona… when most stores are closed.

Until next time,
